Description
How do you make your Valentine's Day party fun and educational? Have your K-2 students apply to be Cupid's assistant and spend the day in Loveland at 8 different hands-on math and literacy stations for a fun-filled theme day!
If you need a way to combine some math and literacy activities into your Valentine's Day celebration, this unit has everything you need. In this resource, your students will listen to The Story Of Cupid, apply to be his assistant for the day, and then visit 8 hands-on stations and help Cupid with his Valentine jobs. Your students will be having so much fun they won't even realize that they'll be practicing math and literacy along the way.
These activities are perfect for a classroom Valentine's Day party, family night at school, learning centers, and more.

- Station 1 – Love Letters – students will write a letter to someone they love.
- Station 2 – Mend A Broken Heart. – students will match broken hearts with addition facts.
- Station 3 – Unlock The Love – students will search for love locks around the room and solve a mystery sentence.
- Station 4 – Make A Love Bug – students will make a love bug craft.
- Station 5 – Make A Love Potion – students will make a love potion with Valentine candy.
- Station 6 – Shoot Cupids Arrow – students will shoot arrows into a target and make tally marks as they score.
- Station 7 – Make A Love Match – students will practice subtraction from 10.
- Station 8 – Fill The Chocolate Box – students will read words beginning with the digraph “ch”.
