Description
This leprechaun trap parent letter is just what you need to get things started if you're planning on making leprechaun traps with your students. This freebie lists everything you need – from shoeboxes to other craft items necessary for this project. Your students will love building leprechaun traps and it's perfect segue into narrative writing – how to catch a leprechaun!
I sent this letter to parents asking for donations to make leprechaun traps. We read some stories about leprechauns, made a list of things needed in our traps, designed our traps on paper and then built and painted our traps. Afterwards we wrote all about how to catch a leprechaun. If you would like to see this project in action in our classroom check out my blog post here.
