Easy Peasy Mother's Day Crafts
Mother's Day sort of snuck up on me this year. We were busy working on our end of the year activities and I realized that the big day was just around the corner! I needed something quick and easy , so I pulled this little craft out of the archives. I think they turned out adorable!
Start by making a photo copy of each students arm. I took my whole class down to the teachers work room. One by one I had them put their arm in the copy machine. I told them to make a fist like they were holding something in their hand. I scanned their arm and made a black and white picture.

Next, I had the kids cut out their arm very carefully. I told them it was important that they keep all the details of their hand in tact. They glued it to a piece of white construction paper. We glued the hand so it was coming from the side of the paper. This gave room to add the flowers.
Next, I had the students draw three stems coming from the top and bottom of their hand. They used colored markers to draw flowers on the tops of the stems. When they were finished, it looked like they were holding a bouquet of flowers in their hand!
We mounted them on black construction paper to look like a frame. When we were finished, they had a really cute Mother's Day craft that was completely free. I know the moms will love seeing their little one's hand and will cherish this forever. I would….wouldn't you?
If you need a last minute Mother's Day gift, this is sure to be a hit with all the moms!
